Matt & Tabitha Hartwig, 2012 Outstanding Young Farmer
The Partnership for Progressive Agriculture hosted the 80th Annual Farm/City Dinner on Friday, March 9 at the Stoney Creek Inn and Confernce Center, Rothschild. Matt and Tabitha Hartwig of Green Acres Dairy in Athens, Wisconsin was awarded the 2012 Outstanding Young Farmer award and will represent Marathon County at the State Competition. Highlights included presentation of Farm Progress Days Scholarships, Century Farm Recognition, Outstanding Young Farmer Awards, and the introduction of the 2012 Wisconsin Valley Fairest of the Fair. The awards are sponsored by the Marathon County Agricultural Society in partnership with the Marathon County UW-Extension and Partnership for Progressive Agriculture (PPA).
