Fall Insect Pests
It has become common to see large numbers of lady beetles and boxelder bugs clustered around homes and other buildings in the fall. Both of these species can congregate by the thousands on buildings, and if given the opportunity, move inside. Fortunately they are harmless to humans, but these bugs can be nuisances and occasionally their waste can stain. Repeated exposure has also caused allergic reactions in a small number of people.
You'll find more information about Asian Lady Beetle on our website and more information on Boxelder Bugs on the Wisconsin Garden Facts website. |
