Friday, January 22:

Pre-Conference Workshops; film screening of A Chemical Reaction, a documentary film produced by Paul Tukey, it explores the use of lawn chemicals & health effects. Plus photography contest exhibit (see below...), meet and greet speakers, authors, book signings, vendors, and raffle.

Saturday, January 23:

Photography Contest Announced

Get your cameras clicking or pull out your gardening pictures and enter the Garden Visions Photography contest.

North Central Wisconsin Master Gardeners are looking for budding hobbyist photographers who enjoy documenting gardens and landscapes around them. Garden Visions 2010 seeks photos that will inspire others to achieve gardening excellence and creativity. Entries may reflect anything that connects to gardening and the landscapes around us.

There are five categories to enter, including:

  • Gardens & Landscapes
  • Flowers & Foliage
  • Garden Accents & Oddities
  • Fruits, Vegetables & Produce
  • Critters & Creatures

This contest is open to the public and all entries must be by amateur photographers. Entries need to be a minimum size of 8” X 10”, without frames or matting and cannot have previously been published. Entry fee is $3 per photograph or $5 for three photographs. The deadline for submission is January 6, 2010.
